the title speaks for itself. but besides that little bit of news, the other day the weather was looking peculiarly nice for winter weather so i went on a photo shoot with robin who is an awesome outfit photographer :) i got this new dress from urban and i was dying to wear it for a while. i love photo shoot days; it means i won’t have to take an awkward self-portrait in front of my roommate’s closet curtain.

until next time, jen
i’m in love with these mustard tights. it’s hard to match them with an outfit but i love them nevertheless.
i just got back from a weekend retreat this past weekend and it was a ton of fun. i met a lot of awesome people and bonded more with my fellow rutgers people :)

Far too many.
Part of having a fashion blog almost guarantees shopaholicism for me. At the same time, I’m lucky that I own as many clothes as I do because I average about 4 outfits a day. The “going to class” outfit, the “lounging around” outfit, the “hanging out with friends” outfit, and the “hanging out with a certain boy” outfit”. That’s of course, not including the “working out” outfit and the “going to sleep” outfit.
Yesterday I went shopping with my photographer Kay. My Esperanza (fall formal dance on campus) dress finally arrived in the mail (though it needs lots and lots of ironing). Therefore, I found it an opportunity to go and buy a silver belt to match it. Kay and I trekked to XXI with limited time and bought home few things, but of course, wanted a whole bunch.
Here’s the “going shopping” outfit for yesterday:
I couldn’t take too many pictures, as this was downtown Houston – which means lots and lots of strangers from the real world and not the sheltered bubble I’m used to being in.
The earrings I wore are my favorite pair, and I promise a closeup for y’all next time. :)
mustard braided flutter sleeve shirt [charlotte russe – $5], teal braided belt [forever 21 – $3.50], black and white floral button skirt [mom’s hand-me-downs], sky blue crocodile print mini-tote [express/gift], metallic cutout platforms [target – $7]
so i have to admit that my halloween (and my mischief night) was full of non-stop drama, but regardless of all that i had a great time dressing up and hanging out with my friends. (at least i think i did since i don’t really remember most of it…;) )
on halloween night i dressed up as meeko (the raccoon from pocahontas) and my friend patrick dressed up as flit (the hummingbird). unfortunately we didn’t have a pocahontas but it was awesome anyway.
the size ratio isn’t quite right :P he’s an adorable flit, isn’t he? you can see my tail in the photo below (my favorite part of the costume).
I hope you guys all had fabulous Halloweens as well. What’d you guys dress up as? (I’d love pictures!) :)
Until Next Time, Jen
Yesterday the birthday of one of my best friends.
I decided to dress up a little to celebrate.

Happy Birthday, Robin.
p.s. Happy Halloween to all of our Readers! Have a safe night out tonight and look forward to Costume Pictures! ;)
About two months ago, Jen bought me these lovely pair of side-ripped tights from Urban Outfitters. The catch is, they only look side-ripped, but they’re perfectly intact. When I put them on this morning, perhaps in a bit of a rush, I accidentally tore a huge hole in the side of one leg. While I brainstormed ways to make it look uniformly distressed, I put on a pair of boots to cover the hole up. Don’t you hate it when you ruin something you love wearing – especially when it’s the first time you’ve worn it? I figured, the tear would be even LESS worth it if I didn’t at least get a picture in it. I caught Kay on her way back to class and voila!
Maroon and Beige Pattern Sweater Vest [Heritage 1981 – $6], Black Asymmetric Tank [A’GACI – $3], Beige Shorts [KMart], Black Side-Ripped Tights [Urban Outfitters/Gift From Jen], Black Leather Riding Boots [Mom’s Hand-Me-Downs]
At least I finally learned how to play pool today. :)
i just realized…i have two huge loads of laundry washing in the basement and i still have enough clothes in my room to wear a different outfit for at least two months. i really want to donate some to charity but i’m one of those people that can’t bear to part with anything. i still have all my homework assignments from elementary school and middle school stashed in my basement at home! i mean really, when am i going to ever need those ever again, let alone look at them?
this was one of my comfy outfits. the only problem with it, was the excessive amount of wind that day lifting up my flimsy skirt. whoops :P i love these tights that i got a few weeks ago. the color is gorgeous as well as the pattern. Elaine from Clothed Much actually has these tights too!
shown above are some of my all time favorite things: my bird necklace (great memories) and these flats from blowfish. i’m pretty sure these flats are worn out to the point where i need new ones, but i can’t part with them. they’re just too comfy and perfect. <3
